Dawn MacArthur Turner

Dawn MacArthur Turner is a Certified Orthotist who received her credentials in 1986. Dawn has extensive experience in both paediatric and adult orthotic needs. Mrs. MacArthur Turner started Custom Orthotics of London Inc. in 1987.

Dawn has acted as the President of the Ontario Association for Prosthetists and Orthotists (OAPO) and the director for both Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CAPO) and Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC). She has served as an examiner for the OPC National Certification exam and has been an Orthotic Resident Mentor for both OPC and the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) for residency programs in the United States. Currently she is the resident liaison for OPC helping our future practitioners with all of their educational and career needs they may have during their residency.

She continues to volunteer her time in the community and in the paediatric outreach clinic in Jamaica (for more information, see our Charitable Work Page). Mrs. MacArthur Turner has been a guest lecturer for UWO’s physiotherapy program for over 15 years and has lectured at numerous educational in-services in the community.

Dawn has a strong passion for the orthotic rehabilitation field and diligently works to keep her practice up to date with the latest knowledge, technology and materials.  She has a keen interest in using both patient reported and standardized measurable outcome measures to document the effectiveness of Lower Extremity Orthotic Treatment.
